I'm a pilot, and this video is of a mode...

Guys! This is a freaking model airplane, trust me!!! It is impossible for an aircraft that size to bounce up and down like that. The struts don't even absorb when the aircraft touches down, and it that where to have happened in real life trust me, the landing gear would have been damage, or worse the aircraft would have split in half. I'm a pilot my self, so I should know a thing or two.
I'm the pilot of toy model aircraft
by kurland, 1157760328Report sentSpamReply[+5]
trust me!!! It is impossible for a model toy plane to bounce up and down like that. It's either fly back to sky or crash on ground.
That turn bank angle is 30*. No airliner that close to the ground and at landing speed can make a turn that steep. The angle of attack is too great and the plane would stall and crash. The Airbus 320 weights 77000KG or so. If it hit the ground at that angle and those speeds not only would the nose gear have collapsed the main gear would have collapsed. Even if it could, there's no way it could have slowed down as fast as it did.
Oh, yeah, and I've seen the unedited version of this same video... it's fake.
you've seen the unedited version

<Airbus 320> front landing gear has at least 150 mm diameter shock absorber
I doubt seriously that you have ever flown a model airplane let alone a full size commercial jet.
Its also obvious you have know knowledge of photography or digital compression,
Since you claim to be a commercial pilot please tell us all exactly how much vertical travel is in the nose gear as well as the main gear of this craft. Considering the distance to the aircraft and the focal length of the lens (Extreme Telephoto—see note) the landing gear could have been moving vertically as much as a foot or two and yet you would have never been able to tell. Then there is the matter of the poor video compression. The video is so highly compressed that even if the optics and perspective had been optimal you still would not have been able to differentiate vertical movement in the gear..
Note
Optics and perspective
We know that the camera man is using a very long lens because the red an white building and the tower are in the same plain. It’s obvious that the aircraft passes behind the tower this also proves that it was behind the building.
Since both theses objects are closer to the camera man than the aircraft, yet the objects appear to be much larger then the aircraft but yet relatively close we have an indication of a compressed field of view (optical illusion)

aye at the same time it looks real and not real but if u wer on da plane it would of been all rite it didnt hit in thin crash on da ground i woulndt of mine bein in it unless i didnt get killed oor crash srtaight in to da ground in 712 km/h
um ur not a pilot, u cant be, wot type of pilot goes on metacafe im sure real pilots wud neva have time to make a membership trust me my uncles a pilot and he knows jus cos u kno a thing or two bou aeroplanes dnt make u a piolt, ok im jus sayin i dnt want an argument so... dnt lie
no pilot is stupid enough to do a landing like that. no matter what freak has been driving it. my 15 year old friend who's in my opinion an average kid can fly a plane like in the red bull air races. A professional, high paid pilot would not make such stupid mistakes.
The film is playing in fast foward (a large plane cannot roll so quickly). Thus the front end of the plane is not actually bouncing, rather the plane enters rotation a few times after landing. Why the pilot is doing this is another question
you dumb fuck that is againts the laws of physics. it was bouncing up and down way to rapidly so thats either a model airplane or special affects(dumb fuck)
i am a pilot my self, but even i am unsure whether this is a model plane or the real aircraft, but i do know that if the aircraft landed with full load of passangers the impact of the landing would have caused some damage or severe damage to the landing gear. Its unclear which airline is this can someone tell...?
The truth about the worst landing video
by yermoma4, 1162390876Report sentSpamReply
It's a Heinekan ad. Judging by the tire smoke, I'd say the plane is real. Probably a video of an aircraft with mechanical problems. The video clip just happens to look funny when viewed out of context. The so-called "complete" version is easy enough to find so no need to waste space posting it yet another time here. Sorry if I've spoiled the fun of arguing for nothing and about nothing.
EFCS/Pilot induced pitch oscillation
by flyboy_55, 1159158629Report sentSpamReply
I think it could be real: It could be a PAL 24fps video re-ripped to NTSC 30fps so the video may be a little fast.
The airbus uses an Electronic Flight Control System and my guess is he was landing down-wind and the Fly-by wire system took over when the Angle of attack got high enough to bang the tail. The pilot might have had the stick full back stick and the computer induced sensed an imminent tail strike.
If so, the EFCS may detect when the aircraft is within close proximity to the ground or on the ground and pitch the nose down to avoid damaging the tail. However, if the mains are on the ground at lower airspeed and a high rate pitch-up is initiated, the elevator and/or EFCS may not have enough authority to stop the pitch up, but if full up elevator is in place when the tail hits and the pilot lowers the stick or the tail stalls then a violent pitch down would likely result, as a result of the rapid pitch down the pilot instinctively yanks back on the stick and the process starts over again. Or at least that’s what it looks like to me.
I heard what happened to one of the early a320s, the computer thought the airplane was landing and ignored the pilot’s command for more pitch up in order to protect the tail from a strike. Instead it prevented the aircraft from climbing.
This is a Dutch commercial infact.
by martin5, 1158611426Report sentSpamReply
This a Dutch commercial . only 60 % is shown here.
In the end you can hear the man say "this is Kees Plokker your captain speaking welkom in the Netherlands and we wish the Austrian national soccer team 'good luck'in their match tonight against the Dutch national team ."
It's a joke and certainly not real !
It is the second of a series of tests conducted by a french aviation company to test unmanned commercial airliners flown and landed by computer programs. The video of the first test is on the web aswell, in which the plane misses the runway alltogether and ploughs through the forest ahead, and eventually blowing up.
well i think its fake a plane of that size couldnot bounce like that without haveing any visible damage, and it kinda looks like the cokpit windows are stickers.
i agree with what the pilot has wore it is nt vry believeable really shurly a pilot wuldnt make a landing that bad or hw wuldnt have been quallifyd der..!!!

1-> impossible to bounce that fast
2->when airplane bounce like that, what is impossible, it would fall apart... underacrriage wouldn`t stand it, just bang and we got crash

the plane is behind the tower so its damn huge, it cant be a model.
have u ever seen a plane do that ever in ur entire life? no sh*t its fake
An Airbus A320 could not stand all that bouncing!
lol the wheels wouldave gone through the aeroplane if that was real
have you ever flown in an airplane u dummer!
