  • Absolutely goprgeous!

This is my favorite aircraft EVER! The most beautiful plane in the skies! She truly is "The Swan Of The Skies"

  • The Swan of the Skies!

Yes indeed they will be missed... =( But im sure they will be around in one way or another for a good 10 to 15 years, especially some of the newer one. Hopefully.
I live in Sydney and we don't get many of these fly over where I live hardly ever but the other day I saw a Military KC-10 fly over on its way to Richmond Airbase!
I got my knickers in a knot ;) and ran outside all excited! Looked fantastic! Even tho they are just a shade of grey! I think that bird was from a American Military exercise or something...??? I didn't think the Aussie Air Force had these...?

  • Eh, they weren't bad....

Perhaps I've taken just one too many transatlantic flights on those things. They were a little noisy, and the interiors on the NWA fleet were never brought up to modern standards for in-flight comfort and entertainment.

They did the job, but I won't miss them.

    • looks man, looks

you may have taken too many flights on them, but just take a few steps back from the plane its totally unique from ALL aircraft today with the 2nd engine mounted on the tail. beautiful.
