  • The judge was entirely wrong -

    she started it all off by calling the guy 'Honey' (and then quickly realised her mistake and called him 'Counsellor'). He was very quick to pick up on it and was entirely right that she should have paid him the proper respect.

    HOWEVER, I guess that if you agree to go on the People's Court, you effectively agree to the judge's jurisdiction, and I would be prepared to bet that he lost the case.

    She is talking down to him and he is a doctor who is to say he hadn't saved a life that day and what had the judge done sat on her high horse and judged people. i would love to put on of these judges in a pressure situation and see how they would react. this guy has done 10 years med school and deservs to be called by his title and not be belittled by some little nazi in a court that has little authority. he could actually sue her for threatening him but we all know who's side the judge would be on in that case. Same as when judges get 10 years for abusing kids. Above the law that they are there to serve. Disgracefull all of these show trivialising the law.

    This guy would have been thrown out of court in most countries that I know of with that attitude. In a few, he might even have been thrown in the clink. Nevertheless, a truly great example of an American lawyer. I hope he has a great corporate practice 'cos he sure ain't gonna make it in litigation.Come to think of it, why is a JD appearing in a small claims court? 5 stars.

      what make her suddenly so deserving of what she is trying to pull off as respect? she acts like an ass, he probably is an ass but this time he acts like someone who is demanding mutual respect, and miss big ball judge can't handle it.
      Oh, I guess this is supposed to be an example of femminism, or maybe 'fair treatment', or how ever she can make the door of the double standard arguement swing in her favor.
      A cocky, power crazy b!tch like that doesn't deserve respect. and he cannot have lost the case, she caused a mistrial by throwing him out of the courtroom. he gets to have another trial if they actually follow the law. maybe this time a fair trial.
