I think what the fans did was good actually. If you see at the beggining the cops grab the guy, while he's down and cops are on him they keep hitting him for no reason. What the fans did was to help them if I'm right.

They just had to restrain the guy. While 3 cops where keeping the fan down on the ground while the 4th cop was punching the fan, unnecesary force. And when the fans stamped, the bald cop got most of the beating, his partners should have stayed and fight, not to run away like cowards, expecially the cop that hitted the fan. He should have been beaten not the bald cop.

First of all this game didn't even take place in Portugal, it was in Switzerland, yes yes the well know for its organization and disciplined Switzerland! Second and as someone already said, the Fan who entered the field was a referee supporter! The reaction from the Private Security team was just an act of sheer brutallity towards a person who had given up and surrendered hence the reaction from the crowd on a pre-season preparation game (far from being a derby as someone also said before!).

i know that is not a good example of people but what happened there is that it wzs a derby which waas high risk match and as they didnt show the end a truck with about 12 cops with rubber bullets came and shot every one in the riot.
PS: portugal is not a third world country for some reasons we owned half of the world and were the richest country in history it was a presidents fault that we went downs but even now we are one of the most civilizes countrie in Europe, who ever said that we are a thid world country has obviously never been there because a country in wich event the pourest school has high tech computers by law and is the plc where many industries including car industries are investin. and besides that we have some of the most beutiful views in the world( i didnt say the best)...... this was a pre season friendly match in switzerland, it was in no possible way a high risk game because excluding the swiss players everyone else was from benfica.

Obviously we don't see the whole picture but it seems to me the cops were doing a pretty good number on this guy. now I realize it's a crime to run on a playing field as this fan was, but really the cop deserved everything he got and more. good for the fan who charged the dog pile and I hope he didn't get hurt to bad.

Benfica it's my team, so I've seen that game. What you can't see in these images is that the guy who invaded the fiels was actualy a fan of the referee (strange no?). And the worst part is that the security who hitted that guy, with unnecessary violence because he was already immobilized and not offering resistance, was the first one to run away. The security who gets spanked by the public was actually the one who was triyng to stop his colleague... I just hope that justice had been made to the other one.

well I'm portuguese man who likes soccer and i just want to say that we aren't all like this.
