Kyokushin championship? The Kyokushin karate is the best martial art. I saw more than mach between Kyokushin
And other kind of martial arts like kung fu the Kyokushin defeated them all except muay Thai (Thai boxing).
This clip shows you the competition between Kyokushin and muay Thai. And if you want to see the competition between Kung fu and Kyokushin at the same championship search for it.
thats form the documentary the fighting black kings about the 1970 something world karate champion ships and i also met one of the fighters frome that movie. i also have no idea where to buy it they stoped making it.

kyokushin the best? funny you say that when Liu Hailong toyed with kyokushin fighters XD
By DaThaiWarrior 1173227041 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down Removei don't say kyokushin isn't good but it all resumes to how good the fighter is and the definite and total flaw is the lack of punching to the face.i'd always rather get a punch anywhere in the body than the face and i believe you all agree that a punch to the face does far more damage than one to the body. All in all in a fight without kyokushin rules they are sure to have serious problems and even lose easier tha you think
By raul18al 1173047586 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down RemoveIs it possible that none of these sports are kyokushinkai karate, first of all there is never any comment about kyukushin and if you look to the outfits (dunno how 2 write but you say gi) there is no emblem of kyukushin a third point if you see a fight of kyukushin you will see a big difference=> much better fighters
By tipri1880 1170966014 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down RemoveYou have to see how muay thai has evoled throught out the years. yes on style is the best, bit the style is only as good as the person who practices it. I am a muay thai fighter; I have fought a akido fighher and beat him by just using roung house leg kicks and combinations of straights and jabs. if you where put karte and muay thai in a real lie situation thai boxing would be most effictive.
By thai boxer 4987 1159541760 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down RemoveWhy is it that the only man to ever win the K-1 GP four times is a muay thai stylist, for starters i have much more respect for muay thai than kyokushin for the fact that they punch each other in the head and also elbow and knee to head where'as kyokushin only kicks to head and punches to body, just look at what happened to francisco filho (kyokushin) when he faught Jerome LeBanner (Muay Thai) in the K-1, jerome sent him into the ropes out cold with a huge right hand to the jaw. even all the most succesfull mma fighters train muay thai not kyokushin. e.g Vanderlei Silva, Norifumi "kid" Yamamoto, Duane Ludwig, etc. so before you osu boy ego maniacs get ya knickers in a twist.... grow some testicles and start punching each other in the head no use fighting bare knuckle if its only to the gut...... One World One Muay Thai

By prophetnite 1155662241 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down RemoveThere is no ultimate fighting style because people all have different mentalities and capabilities, what works for me may not for you. The reason there are a lot of good karateka is simply statistical... karate is the most common art and therefore attracts beginners and recreational martial artists. Finally, rational thoughts go out eh window in a real fight, so your style is only reflective of your training, (have you ever seen anyone stand in a deep horse stance while fighting?) how good you are is indicitive of how hard you train. Oyama could knock out bulls... by the 'my style is best' logic, all karate people should be able to knock out bulls, cause its all about the style right? riiiight??
By suicidalkittens 1155569375 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down RemoveFirstly it's horrible to see that they put the fights between two of the worst karate representatives and the thai boxers. In the following rounds they got pounded. Japan used to have an annual championship vs thailand. Which means kyokushin vs thai boxing. Japan never lost, and therefore the kyokushin world open was made. So to answer a few of the statements here, kyokushin fighters did go against thai boxers with their rules and defeated them every time.
By vertho 1153257881 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down RemoveWhat planet are u from? Karate is nowhere near Muay Thai. What u see here is karate rules, if it's muay thai rules(elbow and knee). And without any gloves or protection? These 2 karate dude is dead the minute they step in the ring. Karate = fancy kick, soft as cotton. Muay Thai=No fancy kick, just wait for a chance to break your leg.
By thaistixx 1185592622 Reply Spam [+1] Moderate Up Moderate Down RemoveI dunno what karate your looking at but Kyokushin does not have fancy fluffy kicks. You might be looking at TKD which yes fancy fluffy. I implore you to take one of my Kyokushin kicks and see if you walk right after words.
By Sgt.Wicked 1235464297 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down RemoveYes, I really would love to feel your so call Kyokushin kick. Lets make this happen. I live in Florida. Lets meet, and I promise u I'll make sure u crawl back home, sergent. When, where, and how?
By thaistixx 1235614340 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down RemoveKeep one thing in mind while watching this:
[They are fighting using Kyokushin rules]
So can you imagine if the opposite happened?
If this was a fight held with gloves and Thai Boxing rules...can you imagine what would have happened?!
As for the question which style is best, Bruce Lee gave the answer:
"Take what is useful, reject what is not, add what is your own"

Nice video. But do remember, it is not the style but the person. Muay thai fighters train 6 hours daily.
By PointPrimer 1143474415 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down RemoveDon’t forget that the Thai boxer who has fast hands win without using his hands at all because of the karate rules (they can use hands without touching face and the Thai boxer used to hit the face not chest) and he didn’t use his elbows as well

By thai kickboxer 1145090308 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down Removedependes who`s the practicioner. I`v seen so many tournaments and not only Kyokushin wins always. For example Kenpo uses a similar combat style and I`ve seen more techniques in that style. I`ve seen Kung Fuin light contact with very good techniques, etc. I`ve seen even Tae kwond do in lught contact but they don`t work so well doing it.
By DiegokU 1149511533 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down RemoveHi!
I wanna replay your post cause there a lot of things wich I'm not agree with...
First of all..the "fighters" who are showed in the video are very bad and they don't represent the true style of kyokushin..you can see the diference in lot's of videos of this karate style...
Kyokushin...in MA's world is considered the most effective and strongest style..not only of karate!
Muay thai didn't beat kyokushin because...Sosai Mas Oyama defeated the legendary muay thai fighter Black Cobra...A few years later a pupil of oyama returned to defeat another muay thai fighter...
There are a lot of videos where you can see that...
Kyokushin is the best...because it's the true way of the samurai!
OSU!
In K1 you can see great kyokushin fighters like Andy Hug or Francisco Filio. And they get to the finals but no always win. Kyokushin don`t use punches to the face and that`s a great diference.
One guy said is not the style, is the person. I`m agree with that.
In my country Kyokushin is very respected, but Kenpo, Goju Ryu, Kyeok Too Ki, Tang Soo Do, Shotokan, some styles of Kung Fu and others martial arts schools use the light contact. And I must say there is not always Kyokushin the winner. Kyokushin is very good here in my country.
OS!!
how come the only man to ever win the k-1 four times is a muay thai fighter i dont think you will see a kyokushin fighter like francisco filho do this. Just look at what Jerome Le Banner did to him with that hug right hand to the jaw, completeing the 100 man kumite didnt protect him on that occasion. he,s lucky he didnt get a taste of le banners knee's on the way down after that punch. even in MMA the most succesfull fighters are the one's who cross train muay thai. e.g Vanderlei Silva, Duane Ludwig, Kid Yamamoto, as for mas oyama wrestling and punching bulls he spent a few weeks in a japanese hospital when he punched a bull and it got the S**ts and gored into him for payback.
