It's crazy to see Vietnamese people acrossed a super-busy traffic That Does Not Stop seen.
In heavier traffic in India I followed my host across a street with maybe 12 lines of vehicles. At one point I was standing between lanes with 2 motorized rickshaws coming at me just maybe 30 inches apart. I was thinking just how crazy this was. It heartstopping when they went by me one on each side. I made it across the street. Never, never again.
By raynbowh 1271709781Seven years ago, while working for the United Nations, I was crossing a road in Bangalore (using a zebra crossing) and I was struck by an ancient Morris Oxford. This initial blow knocked me to the ground with a broken leg. However, the broken leg was soon fixed - as I lay on the road, and various people (all of whom stank incidentally) came to my assistance, I was then run over by a truck that severed both my legs just below the pelvis. It took about an hour for an ambulance to reach me, by which time I had lost nearly 60% of my blood volume, and my legs were never recovered. It was speculated by Police that a street kid had grabbed them to cook and eat.
