They '' tought'' it's a good opportunity to kill the babies now, so they can't be a danger for them when they would of grown up. Some animals do kill for fun, but not the buffalos, neither the lions. have a walk in a forest where i live... well, better go deep far in the forest... then you'll run into a wolverine... you'll know the meaning of an animal who just kill even if he is already fed up.

  Only 'til their natural stupidity gets the best of them lol It's pretty dumb for such a big-ass animal to run from comparatively tiny lions, they could crush the cats by bunching up and trampling them, saving the calves. Lions steer clear of other large animals for good reason.

1 calf dies and they kill a bunch of cubs, that's cruel, the cubs didn't even do anything, it was their parents. The buffalos killed the cubs out of anger, the lions killed the calf out of hunger. You guys can say what you want and laugh at the slaughter of cubs, but I'll provide a small voice of reason.

btw, the saying "eye for an eye" doesn't count in this case, 1 calf does not equal a bunch of cubs.
