The cameraman says "Are you ready?", so Chris starts to count: Are = 1, You = 2, Ready = 3.
So 3 words means the 3rd cup from the left.

It a science you see him touching his head right what you might think <naively> is that he is reading his mind but in acctuality he is feeling very small muscle reaction that normal people can't control
reactions which unless you know how you cant feel them and he moves across the cups feeling how the guys is <nervous scraed etc.> and based on the guys reactions he can predict which 1 had the knife.
oh and BTW what would the camera man if it was the 1st or 2nd cup?

It may be hard to believe but there are people out there who can sence sertain things. True a lot of his stunts are tricks and he shows us that. It is possible to see things. I dont know how the F**k i can do it but i can throw down a deck of cards and pull out all 4 cards of different suits. It scares the S**t out of me, but it is real. I did this in front of like ten people when i was drunk and freaked out. so anyways show some respect to chris. I believe in a lot of his magic.

cmon your smarter than that. what girl wouldnt want to know where he put the knife? the man doesnt make any plans beforehand besides with his cameraman. you see as he is walking back behind the man, he glances at the camera. all the camera man has to do is give a signal as to which cups are covering the knife.
