Def Poetry: Sarah Kay

Amazes me how a bit of cleavage or some bare flesh will get a rating of 4+ and these great words rate 2.8. think about it, Sarah Kay has described HOW we feel.Not only from within but all the other things we feel be it the texture of a petal or the roughness of the tree bark. the feel of knuckles slammed into my face as compared to the soft caring feel of fingers gently touching my face.

i agree with milky69, this is great stuff and i woul dlove to see more of this. did she make up the poem herself or was it a poet from a long time ago? i would love to read more of her poetry. Please submit more of this

thats the type of poetry that should find its way into our schools, not the rubbish thats in their now. having jst done my GCSE's in english (well a while back now) i feel that if we'd have had more modern poetry, maybe i would have tried a bit harder than i did. This just shows that Poetry can be funny, insightful and meaningful at the same time. Great stuff
