      I have seen pictures of pugs from the 1880 called "PUG" by William H. Hopkins (english) . Oil on Canvas . Shows that pugs did have longer faces then . But i have never seen one up close untill now i thought they were all gone very nice to see one alive. Another painting "playful Pug With Papillon" cca 1860 by Karl Steffeck (German) Oil on canvas also show the longer face in that year.
