Here's some video footage showing how I use my chain saw a mill attachment to create lumber from logs. I used trees that had fallen in a recent series of storms in the northwest. The chain saw mill attachment is only about $150, and allows you to create amazing custom lumber. This technique enables you to create lumber to your specifications (the mill is adjustable). You could build a cabin very quickly with large square beams that could be created in a day or two.
