Try close to the offshore oil rigs in the Gulf out of Biloxi or Pass Christian. The local captains can put you on 'em. Reeling one in is pure hard work. Cook it slowly like venison or it gets tough and rubbery. Good luck!

No offense intended, that's been the name of this species for a long time. While diving I came across one living under the bow of a sunken barge that easily weighed 400 pounds. I didn't pull him out to check his weight, but he appeared to be every bit the size of a VW. Oh, and it's illegal take them from the water. So no eating no matter what they taste like.
