that sketch up is now on version 5 or 6 and is totally free. Google bought the company that invented sketch up last year. you can use sketch up to all kinds of great stuff and you can even put building made with it into google earth

recently and it is very cool. I don't need to use it for anything but it's fun to play with. Thanks for the post.

i would very much like to practice. where would i be able to get my hands on this program for free

I've logged in as "The Incredible "Boogster" Mr. E". That name is seen in the 3D Warehouse. I can upload models, too! But however, YOU can upload models, too! Just create a Google account if you don't have one. You can also ate models, too (but don't rate your own models!)! So, have fun uploading models! Just find my name, "The Incredible Mr. E", and rate my models!

go to google home page, click 'more' and then 'even more'.

im a computer enginieer as well as delphi developer and i love to desing things. this is just so mucth better then cad... mucth apretiated :P speard the word folks. it;s free :L)

he said its real time, i hated my old program, it was all in fake time!!!!!

i gotta say this is great. i have used other softwares, may be SketchUp is not the greatest but its one of the most easiest tool to use. And as for the real time shadows I give it a 5/5. Ppl who are interested in 3d modeling or animation should definitely start with Skethup first.

that's like 2 years ago, version 6 is out with lots more features to it.

Dude Sketchup, has just been realesed in its' 6th version, and it is like w 98 vs Vista
But it dosnt change the fact that sketchup ruels
