Muhammad Ali / Clay is considered the greatest of all time because... well he was. Rocky Marciano wouldn't have stood a chance be cause although he was undefeated, there weren't any good boxers in the 50's. Muhammad was much taller than Rocky and faster. Which is why Muhammad beat Liston, Foreman and Fraizer. Ali would have beaten Tyson because Tyson had no heart, just watch his fight in 1990 against Buster. When Tyson goes down he doesn't come up. Ali has losses on his record because he fought two of the fights with Parkisins, he lost to because he was way too old to even be in the ring and he lost against Fraizer, well, because "Smokin" Joe Fraizer is a beast. (And so are Foreman, Liston and Tyson, but Ali's better) Liston could've gotten up in the 1965 fight, but didn't because Ali was a maniac yelling at him to stand up so he can get knocked out. Ali kept yelling, "Stand up!! You're making it look Fake!!" so Liston stayed down. Even when Liston did stand he was a little dazed. So yea, Ali did throw a great "Phantom Punch", but Liston threw the fight. Foreman could've gotten up also, but he didn't. He was tired and he didn't want anymore so he stayed down. These are all great examples of how Ali also got into his opponents heads. His words were probably more effective than his hits, which is why Ali is the Greatest of ALL Time

He is an extremely good boxer. He always in control and know what he is doing. He don't throw blind punches like many boxers do. He is so focus and launch a precise heavy punch when he sees an opening. It is very difficult to beat him.

The greatest boxer of all time was Mike Tyson, BUT ONLY when he was in his late teens, early twenties. During that time, he was absolutely ferocious and basically knocked everyone out in a matter of one or two rounds. No one came close to beating him....I think he knocked out something like close to 20 in a row. The problem was that he lost his drive and got caught up in the fame and basically lost it after a few years.

The other thing is that Klicko nor Lewis would have beat him. This guy used to go through so many rounds and still have stregth to throw a punch. Tyson is the only one who would have given him a fight when he was at his peak.
Lewis is a boring son of ab1th who cant throw a punch to save his life he relies totally on the jab where he is too far from the opponent and therefore can never be considered a great boxer.

Ali was the perfect balance beetwen speed strenght tecnic and stamina, Rocky marciano was very powerfull and had an enormous heart, but he lak in tecnic, he was good in hes time but not good enough for Ali's time Ali fought in the time of the hardest fighters.
I will give you an examaple Iron mike which i admire alot to me he has been the fighter in the heavyweights that has had the strongest punch, in a way was a very psicological for his oponents knowing his power but after a time he became to predictable and they knew that if they just stop him from swinging he will be frustated and Iron mike is not that type of boxer that will be happy going the distance check out the lennox louis fight and mike tyson in 2002 you will see what im talking about thats why i say that there are a lot of things involve in order to judge that, I garanty you that if the cuban boxers were profesional they will be world champs, check out Teofilo Stevenson, we would had wup everyone in his category from joe louis to Mike Tyson he was to strong to fast and and very tecnical.2350094 - 1
