    THE RING TAXI DRIVERS...INCLUDING SABINE HAVE A LIMIT ON HOW FAST THEY CAN GO WITH THE PASSENGERS IN THE CAR SO {8.30-900 MIN-LAPS AND A SPEED LIMIT TOO}...IF THIS GUY IS DRIVING BALLS OUT WITH A RALLY TRANSMISSION{not good with terminology so i call it a rally trans} AND HE CAN'T PASS A CAR WITH AN EXTRA 2 PEOPLE IN IT WHICH ALREADY WEIGHTS MORE THAN HIS THAN YOU GUYS ARE ARGUING FOR NOTHING...

    The driver of the M5 see-saws through corners, misses his apexes and doesn't use the whole track...the Subaru driver is much smoother and I think he could pressure the BMW enough in the corners, that he could get by if he wanted...although he seems to take a some what questional line at times...
    WTF...a bike too? Where is this?

    We car geeks here in the states can only hope to drive it one day! Put me in a Fiat Punto, I don't care, I just want to drive the ring. :)

    That is Sabine Schmitz driving the white Nürburgring Ringtaxi M5 through the green hell. You can hire her for a 9 minute ride. It costs 180€ for 3 people.
    Really impressive how good the chase car keeps up. You need to have in mind, that Sabine had won several races - including the world famous 24h race of the Nürburgring - so she is one tough driver. I've been round the track with her on a very wet day. She told me that the breaks and tires are changed 2 times a weekend on that car. very impressive :)

    I think the Impreza could've passed the BMW if the track wasn't so twisty and narrow. I wonder if American cars would stand a chance here.

      Most American cars have a suspension system made for your straight highways, and not twisty european roads. Sp therefore most would not be able to keep up in this awesome track. There are exeptions though, The Corvette Z06 would be able to keep up with most cars... And if i hear one more time that the Viper is a good track car, i think im going mad

    believe it or not, there were a few times he could've passed the M5 if he really wanted too... and when they both floored it, amazingly this m5 was just as fast as the GTT... I dont really like the suburu GT T's sound, sounds like an ambulance!! but I'd give both cars the respect

      because the straight is the start and end of the track. shortly after the straight beginns starts a speedlimit and it's forbidden to overtake anymore. just for security reasons so noone flys of the exit.
      on public racing days (nearly every weekend from feb til sep) you can drive one round with your own car for 64€ for 4 rounds. but after every round you have to exit the track and reenter through the entrance. you may watch the track and the starting point on google maps.

  • subaru should have easily passed the M5

    if the M5 had let them pass i doubt the M5 would have been able to keep up with the subaru. Can't beat a light car with 4x4
