The is played back from about 40m out, but only because the defender had to put the attacker off. he obviously didn't intend to play it back, so it wasn't an own pass back. It would be considered a back pass by EVERY ref with any brains. The distance doesn't matter if the intention is there. If a player passes back to the keeper from inside the opposition half he couldn't handle it, cos its a deliberate backpass

ANY pass back to the goal keeper; counts as a back pass, therefore the keeper could only have headed or kicked the ball; and as it was such a bad back pass he had to make a spectacular clearing header then somehow he saved the shot by the following on striker who forced the back pass in the first place; and it was bloody awesome saving the player who back passed it from a lot of embarasment!

You have made the assumption that the goal keeper and the other player in black are on the same team because they are both wearing black. But if you look closely I think you will find that the other player in black is on the opposite team (which is why he tried twice to score a goal) and the players in white are the defenders, trying to stop him.

Think about it, these guys are professionals, why would he try to header the ball towards the goal and then later turn and try to kick it back towards the goal again, why not just kick it over the back line and wait for his other team mates to arrive to help defend?
It is common for the goal keeper to wear different colours to his team mates.

Football was created long before American football and has near enough nothing in common. American football is a cheap take on rugby which has way to many stops to have the fluidity of either rugby or 'soccer'. As it always has been in American history the organisers said there was better and changed footballs name, I guess hoping the rest of the world would do it to. Stupid F**k learn this:
- When a defender pass the ball to the Keeper, he CANT (CANT CANT CANT) touch the ball with the hands, he can touch the ball with any part of his body (leg, head, even the dick) but not with the hands
So when the defender PASSED (yes, he had the intentionts to pass the ball to the keeper) the keeper made a fast reaction and headed the ball to the post.. and thats not all, then he standed up pretty fast and stopped the header.. Man i just created an account to tell you how stupid you are

Impressive headed not by the keeper but by Rivaldo. He's heading that slow ball with all the power of his abdominal muscles. Watch the arc of his body in the air when the ball is up high. And how he converted an almost vertical ball into a cannonball addressed exactly at the goal line. Good save by the keeper, of course.

In that situation using your hands would have not been called but that's my opinion and i only know fifa league rules and any foreign team may have different rules. many times refs don't call a passback unless the player "put pass"ed it to the keeper.

he is realy inteligent gk, coz in the footbakll regulation, if the gk touches the ball while it was giving a pass by foot from his teammate player, it will considered a one shoot kick inside the 18yard, so he saved his team from kind of absulote goal..brave guy

The ball was going to the goal if he hadn't touched it.
What the goal keeper did was the only way to keep his net clean. even If he (by mistake) scored it, it wouldn't be a problem as it was already going inside.
