    • i have seen some of these moves

used in real life and yes they do work but they were used by a man with 15 years of training in martial arts. the moves work.

dissapointed - moves are unsafe , unrealistic, outdated.

it would like to see the moves work on a full blown aggresive attack

  • Over-hyped, yes but...

I was shown a gun disarming technique and pulled it off the next day-with a paint gun. But what was interesting was that he expexted me to do the move and still it worked! Howver I was in a store robbery a few years latter and it didn't seem "visceral" to disarm the shouting man.

  • good moves

BUT only should be taught by a qualified instructor ,they are to advanced for a novice to even try. even instructor taught it will take years to become semi proficent.

  • You gotta be kidding me

People, Never try any of these techniques as you will probably hurt yourself or another by doing so. It takes years of taining and hard work like anything else you want to be good at. No one can "Master self defense overnight".No One.

    • Here we go again.

I wonder if my statement of how one of my comments being censored is again going to be the only comment not censored. It's probably intended to embarasse us in front of others.
They should be ashamed from this blatant censorship in allowing hateful and violent messages to be posted and cencoring coherent, truthful and non-offensive comments. Are we still in America?

  • Special Forces

These are Phillipino martial arts. While the demonstrator is very proficient the idea that an novice can "MASTER" these moves in a short period of time is naive. Any martial art takes years to become proficient at and a lifetime to master.

And the whole pretense of these being equal to "Special Forces" training is a diservice to anyone purchasing these lessons/videos and an insult to Special Ops troops.

    • Phillipino martial arts?

What makes you say that? Amies of all nations have tactics/trainings like this. When was a phillipino martial art? What about the Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Thai, Mongolian etc who started all?

    • Escrema

Check out Ecrema. Generaly thought of as Pillipino stick fighting but the art also has very effective knife technique which have been implemented in US military training.
This is an effective art but as someone else mentioned it takes several years to become proficient.
Ju Jitsu is much more effective on the streets for civilians and more accesable for traing facilities

  • Sounds alot like-

JKD as far as the getting rid of moves that are not needed. Does anyone else see that there is also lots of Kali stick work here but without the zoning and footwork?
