      wat i ment whit that second vietnam was that you will never conquer those guys. they are willing to die by the thousends in name of their faith and beliefs. they will never be defeted in this kind of ware, nore will they ever stop attacking they allied forces. end off the story will be (just like in vietnam) the retreat of the forein militaire forces under pressure of new goverments in their countries.

      Actually its almost text book copy of what happened in Vietnam its politically the same point, if we don’t do something the Weston world will be in peril from WMD. Why was the US worried about Nam? look it up.
      And more to the point the insurgents/gorillas, are coming across the borders as they did in Vietnam to fight. Ok they are foreign but they come for what they believe in and are very handy with IED’s and you can’t stop them as they will keep coming.

      mainly because of the bad taste that Nam left in American mouths. The liberals are already calling the Iraq war "another Vietnam" hoping that this will sway public opinion for surrender to islamic jihadists. I come from the Nam era and yes there are similar types of war tactics being used but the logistics and idealogy of Nam and Iraq are somewhat different. BOTTOM LINE... if the US does not finish the job now, the US will have to go back and most likely sustain casualty rates that are a hundred times higher. btw.. the US won the Iraq war over 4 years ago. The US is presently fighting goons from Syria, Iran, Pakistan, Afghanistan, etc in the Iraq War #2.
