now, these men are often compared to the gladiators of the modern century. I strongly disagree with this. Gladiators fought with honor and pride, these fighters are just brutes the savagly beat each other into subconciousness. I find humor in this because of the fight aspect of it, but when their opponent in on the ground and the relentlessly kick their head in, i lose all respect for them.

- I am going to have to agree.
The people who have never been in a fight judge fighting by what they see in the cinema. People flying through the air and delivering strikes like the other person asked for them and are happy to recieve them. Real fighting is hitting a motherhumper as hard as you can, then making sure that they will never want to fight you again by breaking as many of their bones as possible. Jackie Chan. although entertaining, is not what fighting is. You wish to see real fighting? Pay the 40 bucks and get the pay-per-veiw of a UFC or a Pride fight card.

I long for the day when combat sports are the only sports, because they are the only sports worthy of the money they make. hitting at will, if every time you throw a punch/kick to the opponent and you make clear contact and the opponent is not responding to the attachs or the angle of attacks, then the ref should stop the fight. some of these fights were b*s*, ref should have stopped the fights so that the fighter doesn't get injured as bad.
Some nice piledrivers in this clip though. Wow.
BTW these fighters are not making as much money as you'd think, but in the future as this type of 'entertainment' picks up, then most probably yes.
