    This child was born without the gene which is responsible for the production of Myostatin, a protein responsible for the regulation and inhibition of muscle growth. It's a rare defect which results in very strong children. This has nothing to do with the kids parents pushing him. He quite possibly as able to do pull-ups by age one and a half to two and was walking by six months.

      You know for a fact that this applies to this particular child? He's not super-strong, he's simply been doing conditioning and strength work along with gymnastic training. Whilst the vertical push ups are impressive, they're proportionately easier in a younger/smaller individual. Children who go on to be successful gymnasts, or successful in any sport, need to start young - this kid has just got a year or two head start.
