Great tutorial, thanks. Just one thing though, you forgot that the sun and the shadows are in the image. Last time I checked, the sun is only in the sky during the daytime, even in America :)

hmm
not really night vision, rather a green overlay.. there's be distortion to the picture as cameras are not really good usefull even with night vision... some editin would be needed, then it be good.:D

Not really realistic
Normally you would have scanlines with night vision, or some other distortion / cropping.

Add some scanlines and I would call it real nightvision.
