Fight In The Water

  • Killer Whales are the real No.1 killers

If you check out all scientific evidence, great whites avoid killer whales because they are no match to these dolphins (killer whales are dolphins). The size, the power, and the intelligence level are all very different. I read some research states that when people record the sound of killer whales and play it, great whites would swim away like escaping. This behavior has not been seen before. Also there are some cases that killer whales have eaten great whites. They actually have NO any enemy cause nothing can match. Ironically, the only creature they don’t harm is humans; the only creature that harm them the most.

    • Whale HIT a shark

there was no tothgrinding fight, Whale just torpedoed the shark and busted his gut in a snap like a hubabuba gum. and ate his liver. shark had no chance to retaliate.

    • You can google....

and maybe also watch "the blue planet" by BBC about killer whales. They actually, in my eyes, are very cruel; much crueler than great whites. They even attack any other kinds of whales--even the biggest blue whales and meanest sperm whales (which is another creature that eats great white), and do other terrible things like torturing their victims before killing them. Great whites just want to eat, but killer whales know to add pain on their preys, just like humans.

    • whales

dolphins are a form of whale, not vice versa

By hockeyman944 1179014373 Reply Spam [+1] Moderate Up Moderate Down
    • That's right,

Just like Lion and tiger are cats, but the cats we keep at home (e.g., garfield? =)) are not lion or tiger. Actually we should say dolphins are kind of like one of the "branches" of whales instead of "form."

Therefore, dolphins are whales if we speak in a broad definition. "Whale" is a broad term like a big umbrella covers many different kinds of sea mammals, includes whales (the big ones), dolphins, and porpoises.

nonsense. top pedators, which orcas and sharks are, avoid each other naturally, they do not risk injury and death needlessly attacking animals that can put up a fight. hence, they both eat baby seals.

    • True

It's true what you say. But there are confirmed cases where orcas have killed great whites. Orcas are seemingly far more dominant in these encounters. But these cases are likely due to protection of young rather than hunting.
Having said that. This movie is crap and is clearly just a bunch of random clips from different locations and times. Just because the narrator has spent his life drinking whiskey and smoking cigars, doesn't make what he say true.

    • Yeah,

I like how they try to make 2.5 seconds of shark vs. orca footage more exciting by intermittently cutting to scenes of splashing water and blood, then showing the reaction of some seagulls. I prefer the old nature films from the 70's and 80's where an obviously drugged lion would cross paths with an angry anaconda, and a camera crew would just happen to be there...
