  Vista is a failure of an operating system. It is just a middleman between XP and Windows 7. It is way too resource intensive for what it's worth. If you want to upgrade then use XP 64 bit and take full advantage of your computer or even do what EBPlayer said and use and open source operating system like Fedora.
