yes airsoft does hurt, u go by the honor system if u get hit then ur out, and u use mask or goggles

well actually you didnt fully answer his question...this is how its played when someone shoots you friendly or not the instant you are struck you must raise your hand and shout hit to stop other players shooting at you as you walk to the dead zone (where hit players go or maybe even just spectators) this zone is either out of the way of the fire or is netted off so no bb's can strike you when you have no face protection on . just ask if you need any more details.....ohh and by the way if paintballs hurt at only 150 fps(feet per second) and the average airsoft gun goes about 315 fps just imagine

Any sensible person uses as much facial protection as possible, majority of the guns used can fire anything up to, incl 350 fps. So protection prevents anything more than light - medium bruising

Remember airsoft guns are NOT toys!! and theres a big difference between your back yard £ / $ 7.99 BB gun shoot out and a £ / $ 2 - 300+ specialist gun in an organised skirmish

This Event, Operation Irene is run by Col. Danny Mcknight, the guy you might remember as the HUMVEE commander from Black Hawk Down.

This is an 18 , and 'kids' are few and far between at these events (oplionclaws.com). In fact, many of us are current or former military. It's a recreational past time, like paintball or football, and we take it seriously and professionally, with great respect for real world military.

Wrong...airsoft guns can go straight through soda cans (400 FPS). Some are being used by actual military and police units as training tools (Systema products) because they are cheaper to operate. The only thing missing from real steel firearms are the sound and the recoil.

I know softguns are an very interesting hobbie for war interested people, 'cause I am doing it myself and it is very war-like... So do that rather than faten yourself up in front of your PC!!!

I used to play a lot of computer wargames. Airsoft is a lot better, you get a good excercise and meet a lot of new people. We even go against our local SWAT teams and Army SF units.

Actually this isn't organized at all. This is spontanious. Yes, as in many sports teams are given sides and then are set free to persue their objective. This video is a cut up of pieces of recorded film by the Black Eagle Airsoft group. Normally this is like a 3 day event.

The very beginning of it was good. then it got bad. then good. then lame...I dont like how everything is on fire though. in a real warzone there isnt much on fire besides maybe some branches that got grenaded. although those would be blown to pieces. the building wouldnt be on fire, first off because their clay. and second off because the only way they would be on fire is from a grenade/bomb, which even then they would be in pieces

So, you've been in a real war zone? Did they mention that this Op is hosted at Fort Knox, at their Zussman urban training facility (where Rangers and whatnot train)? Or that the team wearing DCUs (tan) are lead by Col. McKnight, of 'Black Hawk Down' fame? Or the BDU (green) team is lead by MSgt Mcmullen, former Ranger and co-author of the Ranger hand-to-hand combat manual?

If you knew anything you would realize that this is an exact playoff of Somalia when two black hawk helicopters were shot down by Somali' militia. The somali' militia set tires and cars on fire to rally and create road blocks. And by the way, hand grenades do not ever light things on fire. They expload sending shrapnel throught the air. So please before you think you know what your talking about, do some research!
