    That's the 405 Fwy near Hollywood--it's a dangerous stretch of highway even under fair weather conditions. It's NOT about "Stupid Americans". Just watch the stupid "Arab Drifting" videos and you'll see what I mean. That's not talent. That's not mad driving skills, either. It's reckless driving. Chain reaction crashes like this one, are difficult to avoid. Slam on the brakes and kiss your a$$ goodbye...

  • Where they have warning lights?

    In Europe there is normal habit that when you see something like that you stop and turn on the warning lights, so that other people driving can see that there is dangerous situation on road. No one did it - is it normal in US that nobody think about the others on road?

      I'm not sure why no one turned on their warning lights. It's common to do that in the US too. Seems odd that it didn't happen in this accident. We also turn on warning lights when we're parked illegaly and want to run inside for a second. ;-)

      Here's a tidbit of info for everybody. I'm from Arizona and have an Arizona's drivers license. It doesn't expire until 2040! In the rest of the US (most, I suppose) drivers licenses expire three or four years after they're issued. People usually ask me (since I don't live in Arizona right now) why they do it that way. First, I'm glad I don't have to pay 20 bucks every 4 years to get a new license, so why complain? Second, I'm going to have to replace the license because it's going to get worn out before I look too different from the picture on the license. Third, if I get too old to drive or become blind blind and am not able to drive yet I still have my license, trust me, I'm not going to be driving just because I have it. Fourth, I love the look on people's faces (banks, grocery stores) when they look at it.
