when I posted this video, the record was quite new, but it already starts to get old. TGV just set another record of 574.8 km/h. Not far until they beat the MagLev trains in Japan. Though, as some of you said; this is not going to be the commercial TGV speed.

TGVs travel at up to 320 km/h (200 mph) in commercial use.
On 28 November 2003 the TGV carried its one-billionth passenger. The two-billion mark is expected to be reached in 2010.
Zero passenger killed until today, very secure train :)

That looks really fast! I've been on those trains a few times and inside it looks fast when you're passing all those cars. Ofcourse you feel that you're doing 300. Amazing to see something passing by at those speeds!
