  • Producer Rewards?

Hey man, I hope you make some money on this video. I gave you five stars but I wonder if they will accept you. I know they are pretty strict with allowing copyrighted material to get in. Obviously Star Trek is not your creation. I am not a hater, just wondering and advising you to contact MetaCafe and ask before you get 20,000 views and they tell you to go to hell.

    • Looks like

we're missing some key elements into getting this to work. Like, how do we hook up the LCD to get the picture...

    • I did it too.

I did the same thing with a LCD protable DVD player and it worked great. The screen needs to be touching the overhead projector glass or heat will build up between the gap.

  • How much did you spend on all that stuff...

Because for under $1000 you can get a DLP projector. The one I have is a Sanyo and I get a screen approx. 11' X 7', and it's high def. Thats a less expensive model. To me it looks like all that stuff cost quite a bit. So why not save yourself alot of work and just buy a projector?

  • well

this is obviously not a tutorial...get your stuff together man!!! we need to know how to do this. if you have the supplies allready, great; if you have to buy an lcd and an overhead, you might as well buy the projector...it is compact and portable compared to something that weighs 30lbs and can't be moved around....5 stars still, im being nice.

  • Done

i done it,i used a old lcd from a laptop and not from a screen,so i can play whatever i want,a old crap PIII with MB memory still work and i payed it 200 euros, the lcd wont get too worm upong needed cooling fans, afraid?Add some more cooling fans!

Anyway on a laptop is pretty quick to unplug-reolug lcd screen,so if u cant, just leave it.

    • leave it for the pros

Yyou shouldn't do that if you have no experience. you might electrocute yourself or somebody else or burn down your house accidentally.

  • Very Nice

Nice job - could probably save some coin by doing this. How clear is the final image? What are the dimensions of the individual projected pixels when they've reached the screen?

  • WOW!!!

    this is the best!!!!

    how long does it last?

By chichomecho 1173970230 Reply Spam Moderate Up Moderate Down
  • Ok....

  • Moron

Great..so A flat panel will run you $300.00 dollars, the Overhead can be found for $175.00 and the cooling fan a mere $15.00? With tax you have just spent enough to buy the freakin' LCD Projector ! What a waste of time !

  • HHmmmm

I'm sure it is much cheaper than just buing a LCD projector.. however one quection comes to mind....... HEAT.....I saw the fan but still... what do you do to keep it cool.. Those overhead projectors generate a LOT of heat.. Did you leave some gap between the LCD and the overhead projector???... NICE VIDEO
