  It was not only a TV series but a huge phenomen.The TV series lasted only one season.It was followed by the horrible GALACTICA 1980. And almost had another return in the mid 90's when the original Apollo (Richard Hatch) created a follow up called "The Second Coming",which was only a trailer.And shown only at Galactacons and selected sci-fi conventions.The series hit gold when the Sci-Fi channel picked it up.
