Interesting news has come in on the steel industry in Brazil. Arcelor Mittal the world’s largest steelmaker has announced plans for the expansion of a major Brazilian steel plant.

Arcelor Mittal’s Chief Executive Lakshmi Mittal said at an industry congress in Sao Paulo that the company was resuming its plans to invest $5 billion in Brazil due to the favourable steelmaking conditions offered by the country.
