  • Using magnets to slow electric meter

This is very valid. These strong magnets CAN BE used to slow down your electric meter, if you do it right (I WON'T cover HOW to do that here - DON'T EMAIL ME EITHER)

Be warned - IF you TRY to do this, your breaking the LAW and facing a VERY LARGE FINE AND POSSIBLE JAIL!

The electric company AVERAGES meter readings, looking for such things above! IF your Killowatt ratings average SUDDENLY DROPS, ANY LARGE amount, you BET they will investigate you to the MAX!

  • These neodymium magnets have lot of uses

If you're interested, I show how to use them to free up desk space if you have a steel shelf over your computer desk.

  • Harddrive

Just so everyone knows if you take the case off your hard drive DON'T expect it to work again. Even the smallest spec of dust can compeletly destroy the platters of a hard drive. Hard drives are assembled in Clean rooms with strict cleanliness standards. If you do this without a clean room you will almost certinaly damage the platters and make the hard drive completely unusable.

    • That's not true

It will still work, the question is how long it will last :)

  • so..

now how do I get the magnet separated from the metal?

    By asc53 1175628267
    • bending

if you bend the metal with some heavy tools, the magnet will come off.

    • IMPOSSIBLE!!

unless you have an oven that burns at a high enough temp. to incinerate the "uuber super glue of doom" AND to de-magnetize the unit WITHOUT melting it to molten slag, it is impossible to separate.

using pliers won't work because the magnet itself is actually super condensed powder with chrome coating to keep it together. (like running over a loaf of bread with 17 TRUCKS!! it's all smooshed together untill you grab it, which then falls to pieces...small, squished, bread-like pieces)

  • ok so

why do i have to be carefull again?

    By Usass 1174954689
    • because

it can pinch your finger when you are picking out the magnet, and it's very painful.

      By D3stiny 1175339718
  • more junk that

i can use at random times, i'll probably look for an old one somewhere
