Years ago I worked on a Tuna purseiner and we had these California Seal Control waterproof firecrackers waterproof fuses about 6 inches long. The boat was about 5 miles of the NSW coast heading for Yamba and I took a large can of WD40 and using wide electrical tape fastened 4 Tuna bombs to the can and then twisted the fuzes together...I lit the fuzes and threw the thing off the bow. It sank about 20 feet before it went off. This was night time nad the underwater flash was very large. The next thing I know the engines stop and the skipper and engineer come running out on deck freaking..they thought we had hit a mine or something. I was in fairly deep caca for that one

If you just shake it up and use a bigger bullet, you don't need the mentos at all. I would use a shotgun.
