The first crash, a 707, was to test a fuel additive which was suppossed to supress the type of fire seem. I obviously didn't work.
Further into the video, the helicopter was the victim of doughnutting, where the down flow from the rotor hits the ground, moves horizontially slightly and then flows back up to fill the vacuum above the rotors forming a flow shaped like a doughnut. This means the helicopter forms its own downdraft and is pushed into the ground. It is also why helicopters should never hover over one spot on the ground for any length of time, but maintain some horizontal movement.
