Speed Tank

Considering this was filmed in my hometown of Vancouver, it's fake....there aren't any tanks here!!

the M1A2 has a max governed speed of 42MPH and cross country speed of 30MPH and will go 0-20MPH in 7.2 seconds. The person who wrote below about the Challenger2 running 0-59 listed it as KmPH which is approximately 38MPH. Compare apples to apples. Also, don't compare an Aston to a Mustang, speaking from personal experience, the Mustang is a piece of crap that can't get out of it's own way in anything but perfect conditions. Sorry, I'm a little bitter about it - damn I hated that car! Wouldn't mind an Aston though!

and Forza, an abrams' top speed is about 60 MILES per hour. it IS in fact much faster than your challenger 2.

The person who said that all of a tank's wheels are cogs, and that an abrams is made of ALUMINUM is a total idiot. Only one wheel on each side of a tank is a cog, because it drives the treads areound the rest of the wheels. the rest are not cogs. they are flat. A tank's armor is NOT aluminum. The abrams' armor is made up of thick plates of depleted uranium, one of the hardest metals known. the entire tank weighs 17 tons. When running, it does not sound like a racing car. it would sound much more like an 18 wheeler.

The v12 diesel has a lot more torque than the gas turbine.

Thats why it can get off the mark a lot faster.

Look mate, its not worth arguing, its a fact that the challenger 2 can go from 0-59KM/H in just over 5 seconds, i used to drive these things. If you want proof go to www.mod.uk. There are figures there that will show you and videos. Just because the Abram has 1500bhp, it does not make it faster. American engines are not nearly as finely tuned as British engines, that also is fact. An american Ford Mustang with a 300bhp engine does not get from 0-60 nearly as fast as a British Aston Martin with the equivalent engine will do. Again, i am quoting facts, check them up yourself if you dont believe me.

Or a look alike....def a fake, no way can a real tank weighing 70 tons roll on those wheels.... Now rorza said that the challenger can make 0 to 59 in 5 sec, the Abrams M1A2 powered by a 1500hp gas turbine makes 0 to 20mph in 7 sec with a max speed of 42 mph.... think u over estimated the challenger slightly!!

Only because tanks can be as fast you say, this tank is NOT real, its made up, its very well done, and its NOT real.... some really 3d modeler/ movie artist did this... obvisously (sp)

Sorry, i had to get technical, tanks are one of the few things i know much about. And a Challenger 2 tank WILL go from 0-59km/h in just over 5 seconds, they reach their top speed amazingly fast. No one seems to realise that dispite being extremly heavy, tanks are very agile.

ok I was a m1 tanker commander.
1. 70 ton tanks dont have mag wheels
2. tanks dont have a 0-60 of 5 seconds
3. the m1 is about 3 feet taller than they show it here
4 and hell its animation

Actually Rikardo, take it from me being a tank commander in the British army, a tank can handle like that. The Challenger 2 tank has a top speed of 59km/h producing 1,200bhp from its 12 cylinder diesel engine. It uses second generation hydrogas suspension which is tough as anything. In many ways, a Challanger 2 tank will handle better than most american cars. However, since the "tank" in the video is not a Challanger 2, i think we can assume it is fake.

that's impossibile look to the size and weight of th tank the aluminium wheels must colapse and it's impossible put that speed and acceleration and the shocks absorvers on a tank will colapse to its impossbile it must be traction 5x5. A tank made of aluminium or not it still very heavy and it kouldn't cirkulate on th road. so it's impossible and how the pilot kan see to do some moves with the tank.

Maybe you have aluminum tanks, but we build ours out of steel and titanium. Perhaps your army should look into that. Might prove useful.

A tank has cog wheels and they are arranged in aspecific way that turns a chain- which doesn't exist here too.
A tank is made of very heavy aluminum plates- very very heavy- no way a cylinder can lift a tank.
