    if the trap was that powerful to take the guys leg off, it would of done it right away instead of him standing there, plus if it was that bad he woundn't be standing at all he would of fell right to the ground in pain.

      the trap didn't cut his leg off at first...but it kept on snapping on him when they tried getting him out....so it was about to come off by the time he pulled away
