While clearly effective (and I fully sympathize with the homeowners here) such "booby traps" are illegal in most states and jurisdictions. In addition, such acts may leave the homeowner criminally and civilly liable for the harm rendered on the burglar. Nothing worse than getting sued by the criminal for injury and damages. Best to cough up for monitored alarm service and a passive security system (cameras, etc). Expensive yes, but much less so than a lawsuit or jail time and fines.

Does anyone have any common sense anymore? Ok, they got the burgler. but did you think of anyone else they might have got? The fence would have been electrified for some while right? What if the neighbor's dog or CHILD came up and touched the fence? this is suck a fake ass video... first off u can only tell that is kippays voice just altered with an equalizer. second that guy would reacted alot more then just that....third that was not even a real fence otherwise it would of not fallen so easly. expecially if there is suppost to be a steel post going into the ground.... but the only props i will give on this video is an easy way to make some money. thats it.
