I am sorry we don't have more then 5 stars otherwise I'll give it to you.
nice doing dude
cool!
it makes me feel that some thing is wrong with me, cos' i can't discover things like that by my self .
Now i'm gonna start making things up and you will see. I'll bring some thing cool to metaCAFE.
This is one of those tricks used by some professionals for certain dents, I was told by a car body repair man that you can wait for a 100 degree day and take some dry ice to it. I used that technique to remove some small hail dents on a car I bought. Made some money from it too because i sold the car for more money then I bought it! This is more useful since you don't have to wait for a hot day to do it. 5 Stars for the video!
Note: This technique will not work very well on the curves of a car because they are the strongest part of the body.
because i save money .I try with my car and it's a wonder trick thx a lot man for this great techniques.
FYI air duster cans contain inert gasses like tetrafluoroethane not Carbon Dioxide.
but they dont as of 2003
go to a garge sale or where u can finid some old stuff.
You'll be lucky if you find one old can of air duster!
How much of a dent was there? was there a crease or a pop dent? did it harm the paint?
Good info. 5 stars here too.
was pretty large.. a little bit larger then the area the dryer had heated, starting at 1:06... watch the top part of the car and u can see the light beginning to bend.. now if u watch the entire black part on the screen.. u can see its popping out a pretty large piece.. and the the air in the can MIGHT damage the paint.. but most likely it will not.. and this usally only works for large dents.. for smaller dents us dry ice
it says "this technique cause any dommage to the paint" what does that mean it does or doenst cause dammage?
Friggin' Homer Simpson appeared at the 1:10 - 1:12 mark!!!!!! Gotta love the Homer!
thats so funny!!!!!!
he does
is about shrinking the metal and only works on large dents anyway
still no a bad idea though
For small dents, use a piece of dry ice instead of canned air. After using the hair dryer, hold a small piece of the dry ice in a pair of pliers and rub the dent with it until you hear the dent "pop".
what if it wasn't cold enough outside?
for example in the middle east
the spray takes care of that... that stuff can freeze fight through your arm
This video is very closed. Better far for...
It worked...and it made me look pretty good in front of the 'ol lady, as it was her poor driving that caused the dent.
Where did you buy your spray? What is the exact name of this stuff? Is it just compressed air in a can or is it freezing spray? Enlighten* me please :)
The stuff I have is what I use in my office. It is Fellowes Air Duster. It runs about $6 a can. I got it at Meijer, but I'm sure a Wal-Mart or a Staples or a Best Buy would have it. It worked on the small dents on my wifes car, but the bigger one on my Dodge... it didn't really do anything for. This must only work on smaller dents.
large or small isn't really the issue, it depends on if the dent is severe enough to have stretched the sheetmetal. a small shallow dent should pop out, or a large one that isn't too deep, but deeper dents with smaller areas cause an amount of stretching in the metal that can't be undone this way. Once the metal has been stretched enough laterally, the only way to fix it is by using filler or welding in a patch. heating cooling causes a small amount of shrinkage, but it will only go so far...
Really good to know. Thanks.
Make it loup226?
haha 5 stars
If that real works, it's just amazing... And thank you :-)
That's deffinately something, man, I agree with mr. smith11, i'd give more than 5 stars if we had that option.
I really hope this works because I had my small creased dents for over a year now because Im too cheap to pay for the expensive car repairs..
can this mess up the paint? Ill do this only if it doesnt mess up the paint
great video. 5 stars
Well Done!
..if it works. But, why is it no one can type proper english on the computer? Pisses me off.
5 stars from me....
very nice trick of the trade
is it just me or did anyone notice that the peice of chrome in the vid is nowhere to be found on the car the pic is of??? and that picture shows a very shiny black car and this peice of the car is quite dull and nt as black as the car in the picure?
just wondering...
and how much will it cost if you bring it in a shop? very nice how did you come up with that
thanks for the lesson
thats not carbon dioxide, carbon dioxide never goes into liquid state, only solid and gas!
Yes, the bottle doesn't contain carbon dioxide, but no, carbon dioxide does exist in a liquid state. Call any gas supplier (i.e. Linweld, Airgas, etc) and they will tell you that they sell liquid carbon dioxide in pressurized bottles.
they put solid co2 inside. it can sit in that strong metal 'bottle' indefinitely.....it comes out as a gas. Don't believe me?Prove me wrong!why dont you show us a video of you, pouring yourself a cup of liquid co2.... better yet make a video of you cutting one open and looking inside.....
You're a riot... "cut one open and look inside." That sounds like something for the Darwinism section.
Yes, you can have solid CO2 under extreme pressures. Yes, you can have liquid CO2. Yes, you can have gaseous CO2. Do a quick search on wikipedia and you'll find a CO2 pressure-temperature phase diagram. Liquid is actually easier to obtain than solid CO2.
get this to work?
ihave a very big dent and i do this trick, but hairdryer much longer for much heat and it like i have a brand new car 5 stars man good and thx
I found a product 'Invertible Air Duster' from Fellowes , but it says that it's just a compressed air (as I understood it is used to clean dust from keyboards and other computer hardware), so where does the "cold" come from?
Haha nice
thats amazing, how did you find this out? brilliant!! five stars!
That was actually very cool.
That was cool!!! No pun intended.
Job !!
My friend I give you 5 stars but you deserve 50 stars. Nice video, excellent tip to fix dent on cars, you are a genius.
Actually there was a guy, who kicked the dent from inside :D:D
Just don“t tell the car shop...
Great technique... thanks!
but weather it works or not 5*'s. congrats
bad camera.! :)
1948 dodge coupe
that has its shre of dents?
Is the metal in todays cars that same grades as in 1948?
And how much does the CO2 tank cost?
Where Can You Buy the CO2 Spray. I wast wanting to try it
question though...does this only work on metal? because we have fiberglass
