By LeeMac 1175787424 Reply Spam [+5] Moderate Up Moderate Down RemoveCan you tell me when or where this video was shot, or the name of the ship???
By Rockynred 1175437562 Reply Spam [+4] Moderate Up Moderate Down Removethis happened on 14th Feb 2004...yes very romantic everyone on board was one big vomiting orgy. I have more videos of it (never before seen ones) and will post them so keep on the look out!
By devilishmagician 1175690467 Reply Spam [+9] Moderate Up Moderate Down RemoveThis is more information about the incidence. The boat was reviously called Voyager, the y changed name due to the incident and change the color so people will not recognise it ! See more about it on Wiki through the following link http://en.wikinews.org/wiki/Passenger_ship_Voyager_radios_SOS_in_the_Mediterranean
By devilishmagician 1175691222 Reply Spam [+5] Moderate Up Moderate Down RemoveThis is video from inside the ship
http://www.metacafe.com/watch/509911/inside_the_rough_cruise_ship/
These cruise ships use stablizers as well as ballast to control pitch etc. I would agree it looks like the ship is DIW (Dead in the water) no power...that would also explain why the local "Coast Guard" was hovering overhead. I would suspect strongly that a destress call had been put in from the ship as it lost power in heavy seas. Looking on the bright side, at least the passengers had an exciting cruise..
By wd9ufo 1182900266 Reply Spam [+1] Moderate Up Moderate Down RemoveThe ship had power and had 1 of its engines still running thats how we explain the forward motion and the reason the sent out French and Spainish tug boats.
By Curecreator 1214408655 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down RemoveVauuu
By Bodljica 1226338622 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down RemoveWow great video, you mind sharing that on splashvision.com. I go there a lot and I am sure the guys over there would really enjoy this one. Appreciate it and again great video!
By samhadrios 1189424631 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down Removecooler if it was the titanic on film
By canakar 1182255097 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down RemoveIf you notice there isnt much forward motion by the ship which indicates its probaly got engine trouble. Ships are meant to cope with this kind of weather. All in all what you have here is a ship without engines otherwise it would be sliceing through those waves !!!
By jonfowy 1181933230 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down RemoveThis ship looks like a toy boat in a bath tub. I'm playing, but what happened to the passengers??? evacuated?? Why was it pitching so much??
By Skylerscream 1181700560 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down RemoveThat is crazy I would have not liked being the owner of that ship. The water doesnt look that rought though, there was probably something wrong with the ship as well.
By porschedrifter 1181105147 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down RemoveNow that's what I call THE Love Boat...
By BET02 1180663772 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down RemoveWell, That ship doesnt seem to be doing its job well, i believe i read ships sail INTO The waves, prevents this from happening
also, the people on board most likely are in cabins or near those launch bays to evacuate you see.
By the looks, it's one of the older ships, i dont anything below deck to help in swells/keep the ship balanced.
The Voyager was built in 2000. The reason why it's not sailing properly is because some navigation systems had been damaged by water when a wave smashed bridge windows, and only one of its screws was working. The ship had to be rescued and tugs towed it to safety for repairs. The ship is still called Voyager but has been painted all white along with all the other ships belonging to the same operator. Whether or not the repaint has something to do with the incident is unknown.
By Guynextfloor 1182123459 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down Removethats enough to put me off crusin for a while!!!
By graandjac 1178916317 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down Removei guess thats how titanic actually crashed.....
By esne 1178353469 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down Removedid anybody die on board the ship?
By zaidalimustafa 1178096492 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down RemoveI seriously got seasick just watching this... I've been on a fairy (the boat kind) in a rough storm and it was awful.
By valiumsummer 1177808702 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down RemoveThe size of those waves would a rock a properly built boat, but cruise ships are now built with megahotels above the waterline. I would say it must have also been blowing very hard the way she heels over to starboard and hangs there so long. She's obviously under steam, because if you just lay with a storm, even a 40-foot fishing boat could bob that one out. I'm wondering if cap smartened up and headed into it or kept going kitty corner.
By Eric12 1177607357 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down RemoveI gess the engine must be broken or at least the steering because no captain would be so stupid as to go sideways to the waves...
By Bcnbartender 1177508114 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down RemoveIf I had my girl there we would be boning while being thrown around by the ship via wave motion.
By thelordprovides 1176114393 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down RemoveAt a guess, I think this ship had a problem with its ballast control. Or a loss of engine power maybe. The captain should be able to steer into the swells to avoid this heavy listing. I used to love riding a storm when I worked on ships, but this one would have had me worried!
By PorkyPig 1176090709 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down Removefat lady running back and forth to different buffet tables.
By durango95 1178139098 Reply Spam [+2] Moderate Up Moderate Down RemoveI've seen some really fat birds on passenger ships. They have to be kept away from the side of the ship because of this problem. Sometimes if there are 2 fat ladies you can put one on both port and starboard sides to even it out. I think cruising attracts them because of the 'all you can eat' buffets!
By PorkyPig 1178363642 Reply Spam [-1] Moderate Up Moderate Down RemoveI also worked on RCCL ships and I know it takes a good(or just any) weather forecast to avoid dramas like this. I survived Ivan and few more hurricanes but never even seen anything like this! wow! Poor crew and passengers!
By cereal_ killer 1177331190 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down RemoveI too was on RCCL, Sov and Monarch. There's no place like the Caribbean in hurricane season. I don't miss the trips to Coco Cay only to find that we couldn't tender to the island for fear of losing the passengers. Poor crew, forget the passengers :)
By PorkyPig 1177737275 Reply Spam [-1] Moderate Up Moderate Down RemoveYeah, pax S**k I was on RH, VI an AD. Hurricanes gave us some unforgettable overnights in Cozumel/MEX. Senor Frogs Rullz !!!
By cereal_ killer 1177796313 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down RemoveIn its full glory see the movie 'Boat Trip' featuring Roger Moore who plays a Gay Man role in the film. It's really funny. Don't think he'll ever board it again though after seeing the incident on TV :)
By devilishmagician 1175691801 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down Removeand I wasn't checking out the ship, I was looking at the t*ts and a$$ of Roselyn Sanchez!!! Get your priorities straight, man!!
By johnbergstromslc 1175744456 Reply Spam [+1] Moderate Up Moderate Down RemoveI have been in a hurricane on a cruise ship with 50 to 60 ft seas and the ship wasnt listing like this piece of S**t Maybe if the captain knew how to work the goddam ballast tanks he wouldn't have put the ship and passengers at risk.Better put down the crack pipe dude.
By denjack1 1175689017 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down RemoveDoes the commandant have his license??? :D
By Bryan_Fury 1182667949 Reply Spam [-1] Moderate Up Moderate Down RemoveYou shouldn't be so critical if an engine broke then you have to give the captain credit for not letting it sink.
By Curecreator 1214409005 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down Removeliner's really rockin...........
By s .murali 1181743109 Reply Spam [-1] Moderate Up Moderate Down RemoveI have a very fat nighbor that when he moves to one side of the house every one has to move to the other side to balance it LOL Look like he jumped off the boat and made great big waves.
Ok no more fat jokes That would S**k so bad did the passangers get there money back.
Most likely a watch team, it makes sense why the ship isnt sailing at them or anything helping due to an engine failure. The chopper is giving up to date info and prolly coast guard nearby
By laos101 1179797715 Reply Spam [-1] Moderate Up Moderate Down RemoveThis is your captain speaking, Any and all articles not tied down you can find on the starboard side. Thank you, and have a pleasant cruise.
By whitephatt 1179383013 Reply Spam [-1] Moderate Up Moderate Down Removethis was the annual cruise for the NAFFP ( national adancement for fat people).
apparently they were just playing "find the deep fried peanut butter sandwiches"
Great post! Thanks, amazing !

By wolfdemigod6969 1178008210 Reply Spam [-1] Moderate Up Moderate Down RemoveHe has sunk...
By anjey 1177175665 Reply Spam [-1] Moderate Up Moderate Down Removeu know, we're big boaters and yet it still amazing to see that.
But still it probably wasn't that fun for the passengers, (barf)
I bet the captain's sweating bullets right now!
By John213 1175850417 Reply Spam [-1] Moderate Up Moderate Down RemoveI thought the cruise i went on was rough.
