          Bugatti was an Italien. He set up in France and the Bugatti headquarters are STILL in France today in 2008. Bugatti flies the French flag and always raced for France. Today Vokswagen owns the company much like Mercedes owned Chrysler. Bugatti, however is still a French Company. Look it up!

                                            Was that a W8 or W10 engine? The founder of Bugatti was born in Italy. Now the automobile company was made in Molsheim, France but it was WWII so the Germans owned this part of France (before Normandy). The War ruined the company so they moved it to Paris, France and also has a company in Italy somewhere. VW (Volkswagen) bought the rights to make their cars under the Bugatti marque about 10 years ago. The owners of the company are still Italian though.

                                                  If you mean the Maybach Exelero, it is just a one-time build, wich was built for the tyreproducer Fulda. Later on several companies wanted one, but it is still considered not to be a production car, it is only built on demand/command.
