  the second rider fell because he locked up his rear wheel, trying to stop hard n turn at the same time. as for the first guy, its hard to tell why he went off the road.

I would call running off the road onto a soft shoulder in a curve stupid.A smart person would know their capabilities and taken the curve a few miles an hour slower.
