Nice equipment!
It really doesn't harm you to slide across pavement like that. The leather suits are made in such a way as to protect the asphalt from coming in contact with the skin. It may get a bit hot in the suit, but it doesn't really cause serious injury.

That equipment

The crash at 1:23 position
Note the guy at 1:23 at the moment he fell he groupped himself and kept his arms close to the body - deffenetly he pass the crash course before :)
It also looks like - "hell with the face, dont care about my face hitting the ground, my arms are more important!"
