  Tailor was definitely a trooper. Apparantly most of the time they give a yelp or two and plop out a kid or two. She had to work for it, the kid was 4lb 6oz with lonnnng legs.

  We thought for sure she was going to have 2 or more, but we waited.....and waited.....only 1 baby boy.
  Now normal birthweight is 1-2 lbs and he came out a whopping 4lbs 6 oz so that may explain some things.

  He was really big compared to typical babies. We thought she was going to have 2 which is common. If we knew it was only 1 we could have induced labor sooner to help her, but we didn't know.

  Most boy dairy goats go to the butcher, but he is our only baby this year so we are going to keep him. I just have to build him his own buck house so he doesn't go around humping the girls all the time.

  we are learning. this was our first time, but baby was BIG and his mama really struggled. Both a very well today.
