Bat's do not carry the west nile virus !! and yes some bats that are out during daylight hours are sick, but most of the bats you find during the day are the unfortunate ones that stay out late hunting insects and lose their way home and decide to rest in a place where humans are.. thus resulting in us finding one, but none the less never touch a bat unless your wearing gloves because they do carry rabies.
