That was James Whitham that set the track on fire. He was a back up rider that year.

I remember these
That was Jamie near the end. The bike flipped at the start and caught the track on fire. They had to wait 2 hrs to resume the race.

And Roberts doing that highside in the turn. His head was the first part to hit the track. I know that had to hurt the next day.

pretty interesting
i always wonder what was the exact cause of the crash. i figured hell if these guys are crashing on a track thats neatly paved, then hell. im in for a doozy out on the streets, im pretty lucky so far with the way ive been riding, and nothing has happend YET. i know somthing might but until then. just gotta feel the road as much as possible.

- Be real!
  Mate, you will never and can never ride a bike to the absolute extreme that these boys do on any open road and thats why they crash. That and the fact they have more power and weigh less than any road bike.
