it does work sometimes, BUT you can only accsses the menu which gives you plenty of useful information like how cold it is inside the machine and how many pices of sprite were sold. nothing more

This "trick" isn't a trick man. It was designed to do this so the driver didn't have physically open the vendor to see what was sold. It was useless because most drivers didn't know how to use the info. Now we deactivate this most of the time because when you have competitor next to you they can check and see what's selling and put the same in there machine. Example, if you put 4-2-3-1 (factory settings) you can check sales on each selection and total sales. If rootbeer had a bunch of sales competitor can stock his with rootbeer and hope to cut your sales. Most of these figures are wrong anyway because the counters weren't reset and you don't know what sales number started at.
