Not a 50 foot wave.
It's an optical illusion. The change of depth in the water causes the water to change color. The "line" at which the water changes color causes the optical illusion.

It's for real
I live in Cape Town and was tuned into the radio all day long. Emergency services were on standby and yes, several buildings were wrecked along the coast. No, I have no idea why SA is keeping pretty quiet about it. There were reports in Mail and Guardian newspaper, then on news24. I'd add the link if I could. Not unlike SA to keep quiet about crisis situations.

Is this true? Is seems fake because there is no white on top (50 meters wave is too much without brake). Should reach land!

  There's no way a 50 m tsunami wave could dissipate in that short of distance. And if it had hit the shore, it would have been international news. Didn't happen.
