But that may change if some of us have our way. I am in favor of impeachment proceedings except for the fact that the Vice president is a worse crook than the President. The only realistic thing to do is dislodge the whole bunch, right down to Rummy, and start over with new elections. Wouldn't THAT send a message to the world!

You noticed yourself that it said 'attacks' (plural). The ticker was probably just showing over replayed footage.

The plural "attacks" just made me even more curious due to the female news anchor saying that there were unconfirmed reports that a plane (singular) had flown into ONE of the towers. So why say plural ''attacks"? I suppose it is possible that in addition to the footage, they were also replaying her voice, but the normal approach is to replay the footage without the original commentary. Then as the old footage is replaying, have new up to date commentary, like so: "As you can see by this dramatic footage, earlier this morning the nation was rocked by horrendous terrorist acts....." and so on. If the footage is being replayed, then there is no reason to find that curious....I certainly can see that. I'm just not certain that the footage actually is being replayed.
