    I teach in Uni in Paris. I pray in my own way for the victims of this horrible slaughter. It horifies me that a person could do this to others. Please USA control your weapons!!

      they said on the news that Virginia is the second easiest state to get a gun in. No permit needed, and no waiting period. You go to a store and pay for a gun and 5 minutes later you have one-A fukcing joke! The laws should definately be stronger. And this is a good reminder of that.

      A lot of good those silly gun laws did in the Port Arthur Massacre and the Strathfield Massacre, eh? Imagine if just one gun owner had been lawfully carrying a gun in those crowds. How many Australian lives would still be here?

    We are completely taken over by this sad incidence. I hope it is not done by a muslim, otherwise it will disturb many muslims who understand the true meaning of Islam. I do not know why the authorities are not revealing the ID of the sniper. Anyway, we pray to Allah to rest the souls of departed in peace.

    Where is our sense of community!? Where are the "men!?" Where do we draw the line!? Why don't we teach courage and community in school!? Why couldn't anyone group just a F'ing handful of people to together to rush this person!? That's what makes me VERY mad.

    I have a daughter that's 18. I would die for her and any one in my community and she would do the same. Yes, I would grieve if she died but far less if she did so to save others.

      Look, us students carry nothing but books and school supplies in campus, but if we knew the police weren't going to do their job right we'd be more prepared. The truth is it's very difficult to do anything when you're caught with your pants down. =(

      My sentiment total, but I guess we would have to be there to really find out.
      Ask your self WHY, it happens all the time there are plenty of massacres out there still and most people don’t fight back they just go meekly.
      Would I fight, I don’t know I like to think I would but in all honesty I can’t answer that question.

      sense of self preservation. It's a normal reaction in humans (and all animals as well). If you see a rock coming at you, what do you do? you cover yourself with your arms. If i make a move like i am going to hit you, you flinch. That's the same thing. There's a maniac with a gun killing people, you take cover! Normal human behaviour. Now the fuked up idiot that shot the kids, he's not normal. In a way, I am sorry he's dead just so we could put him in jail for a long time then stick the needle in his arm. Coward!

      You're right about preferences at the moment, but I strongly believe that respect for one's country, fellowmen, language, flag, etc, is the basis for respect for other people's lives as well. Too much is taken for granted; too much is condoned and forgiven, so much, that violence seems to be an inherent part of ou lives. That's the tragedy. Attention to the simple things in life and respect are elements of a healthy and sane community.
      I'm sincerely sorry for the terrible loss.
