  • Hey guys this wasn't

an ASTORIOD, or a large rock of any kind. This is considered a meteor, in the sense of the word, but we are talking about a piece no bigger than a grain of sand. This picture came from WWW . SPACEWEATHER . COM and it's a pic of a 'Taurid Meteor'. In Nov we have the Taurid Meteor Shower, just like we have a different Meteor shower every month of the year. Normal Meteor showers, the meteor's you see, called "Shooting Stars", the Meteor or object is no bigger than a grain of sand, but traveling at 65,000 mph when it hits the atmosphere it can make an intense bright streak across the sky. This particular pic is of an ever so often Taurid meteor that was the size of a marble and they create what is called the Taurid Fireball, it happens about 1 every 5 years, and this was a predicted year. Go the spaceweather dor com and read all about it and get more pics. Rowdycat2
