Some U.S. citizens won't be able to go to college if Hillary Clinton gets her way. She supports an anti-American bill called the "DREAM Act" which gives college discounts to illegal aliens. One of its major side-effects is taking college discounts away from U.S. citizens.

There are only so many college discounts available, and there will always be more applicants than discounts.

No matter how you look at it, every discount that goes to an illegal alien is one that won't go to a U.S. citizen.

Don't feel too bad for illegal aliens: they can always appeal to their home countries for college help. U.S. citizens should be able to appeal to their country for college help, but all Hillary Clinton wants to give them is the shaft.

To help her see the error of her ways, please go to her campaign appearances and ask her about this bill specifically.

    it's a sad thing to know that this administration would allow illegal aliens to get breaks for tuition, or be allowed to collect social security when american citizens are turned down on a daily basis. I'm a disabled veteran, and can no longer work. I have been turned down for social security, and any kind of state aid. I applied for a lousy bus pass, and was rejected because I don't get state aid. Evidently a federal government issued disability don't count.. America the land of the free? maybe if your an illegal alien, but not for born americans anymore.......

  • What's a College Discount???

    Not a Hillary fan and had never heard of "Dream Act" so did a little research. First of all, it's a bi-partisan bill sponsored by 4 Republicans and 2 Democrats. Second, all it does is give 6-year conditional legal residency to illegals who were brought here by their parents when they were little kids and have kept out of trouble. If, during those 6 years, they attend college (or serve in the military) for 2 years and continue to stay out of trouble they get to apply to become permanent legal aliens. Seems like a pretty reasonable idea.

      As the NILC link someone else posted above points out, the bill would allow states to give in-state tuition (i.e., college discounts) to illegal aliens. That means illegal aliens would be taking college discounts from U.S. citizens.
