I wll show you how to convert your t.v. to use it for a computer monitor. You can watch movies off of your computer right on your television. Some people know how to do this. But some don't. I do not have cable or satallite but I do have the internet. For a long time I watched movies on my monitor. Well that go annoying cuz I have a nice size t.v. to watch movies on. So I found a way to watch my internet movies on my big screen t.v..

    lol, RCA plugs are for old graphic cards, use S-Video. Besides, what we really want to know is how to turn a computer monitor into a TV without having to buy a new video card.

    ive tried it monts ago. when my pc monitor was broken... no cable connecting my pc or tv had the proper sizes to go from pc to tv or from tv to pc :D so we don't all have the saim backs of out pc's.

    • There are

      different types of outlets on the back of the computer. You have to make sure it is the YELLOW RCA jack. And if your t.v. doesn't have the YELLOW RCA jack then you can run it through either your VCR or buy a converter at any Radio shack. If you still cannot figure it out then do what I did and google it.

    this...was fairly redundant... how about next time, instead of wasting everyones time, you just make a slideshow with "connect the rca cable" and "check the extend my desktop box in the screen settings"...

      For a laptop you would need to buy a converter. you plug a regular monitor cable into the laptop then into the converter then run ther RCA or S video cable to the T.V.. You may not have the option of dual monitors so you will get the same screen on the t.v. as on the computer. Hope that helps.
